Thanks for the quick reply! The horn is still working perfectly. I didn't check the brake light switch, I will check this tomorrow. The throttle position is ok, I checked this via ODB. Do you think it's still worth investigating the clock spring, even if the horn works?

Okay, since the horn works, the clock spring is likely fine, although it's possible only some of the circuits within it are faulty. Given that you've checked the throttle position and the horn works, and you're getting an error code, it might be best to take it to a workshop. They have the diagnostic tools to pinpoint the exact cause. I ended up spending hours troubleshooting mine before realizing it was a simple fix a mechanic could have done in minutes.

Thanks a lot for your help! I took it to a workshop, and you were right, they diagnosed a defective connection. They repaired the cable and plug connection of the component, and the cruise control is working perfectly again. The repair cost me 95€.

Hey there, I had a similar issue with my old Opel Insignia a few years back. The cruise control just died. It turned out to be a faulty clock spring in the steering wheel. This clock spring manages all electrical connections to components located on the steering wheel, including the ones for the cruise control. Does your horn still work? If the clock spring is the issue, it might affect other features too. Did you check the brake light switch? A faulty switch may be causing the issue.
