Fluence electrical malfunctions

I'm having trouble with my 2014 Renault Fluence (electric engine). I keep getting an error message in the speedometer, and the error memory isn't empty either. When I try to start the engine, the battery feels really weak, and I'm noticing some general electrical malfunctions. Could this be because the auxiliary battery isn't charging properly? Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

I had a similar issue with my Fluence! Voltage drop issues, perhaps? Did you check the auxiliary battery's voltage? The symptoms you describe sound a lot like battery failure to me. How old is your battery? Is the car charging it while driving? Maybe it is time for battery replacement?

Thanks for the quick response! You mentioned checking the voltage. Where exactly should I be measuring, and what voltage am I expecting to see? Also, how could I be sure the car is charging the battery while I drive?

Okay, so, without special equipment to actually measure the current flow into your auxiliary battery, you really can't be 100% sure if the car is charging the battery, and, frankly, if you are not experienced with electronics, things could go wrong. I would recommend visiting your local car workshop and ask them to check it. It might just be a dead cell inside the battery. Was this the case with my car. It costed me around 290€, but at least I could continue driving. I'd still advise going to a workshop, though.

Thanks so much for the advice! I took it to the shop, and you were spot on – the auxiliary battery needed replacing. Indeed, the battery was not properly charged during driving. All those error messages are gone, and the car's running smoothly again. I really appreciate your help!
