Fluence Headlight Range Control Fault

Hi, I have a 2016 Renault Fluence diesel with 188023 km. I'm getting a 'Check Headlights' warning. The error memory shows a fault with the headlight range control, and the low beams seem to be pointing way too low or high. Has anyone else experienced this?

Summary of the thread

A 2016 Renault Fluence owner is experiencing a 'Check Headlights' warning, with the error memory indicating a fault in the headlight range control. The low beams are misaligned, either too low or too high, and the lights seem to adjust unnecessarily on flat surfaces. The issue is likely due to a defective servomotor, and the suggested solution is to have it replaced by a professional.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

I had a similar issue with my Fluence. The auto-leveling was completely out of whack. Does it seem like the lights are trying to adjust even when you're on a perfectly flat surface?

Yes, exactly! They seem to be constantly trying to adjust, even when I'm parked on level ground. I suspect it might be the servomotor. Did you ever figure out what it was?

Yes, that's exactly how it was with mine too. I wasn't able to fix it myself and had to take it to a workshop. They replaced the servomotor as it was defective. I suggest you consult a professional.

Thanks for confirming. I suspected as much. I had it checked and indeed the servomotor is defective. Repair will be around 1040€. I appreciate the help!
