Fluence Jerking Acceleration Loss of Power

My 2010 Renault Fluence diesel with 82k kilometers is jerking when accelerating, check engine light is on, and the error memory is full of codes. Power is way down, sometimes it stalls at idle, runs rough, and there's a strong exhaust smell. Thinking it might be a defective, leaking, scorched intake manifold. Anyone seen anything like this?

Sounds familiar. Had a similar problem with my old Opel Insignia. Same symptoms, rough running, loss of power. Is it throwing any specific codes, or is it just a general engine misfire?

Yeah, there are a bunch of codes, mostly pointing to misfires and lean running conditions. But I'm zeroing in on the intake manifold. Did you ever figure out what was causing the issue on your Insignia?

Yep, intake manifold gasket leak. If you suspect it's the manifold itself, you're probably right to get it checked. Could be cracked or warped. Best bet is to get it to a workshop and have them pressure test the intake system. Saved me a lot of headache in the long run.

Appreciate the advice. Turns out the intake manifold was defective and leaking. Cost me 1180€ to get it sorted, but she's running like a dream now.
