Fluence Multifunction Steering Wheel Failure

Anyone else seen this? My 2016 Renault Fluence (electric motor, 199308 km) has a dead multifunction steering wheel. No response from any of the buttons. Error's stored in the memory. Likely cause? Cable connection in the steering wheel. Sound about right?

Multifunction steering wheel problems are common. Did you check the control module? Is the malfunction indicator on?

Control module's throwing the error, yeah. I'm leaning towards a broken connection in the wheel itself, given the error code. Any reason to suspect the module over the cable?

If the error points to the cable and you've checked the basics, a faulty connection inside the steering wheel is probable. Probably best to take it to a workshop.

Cheers. Cable was indeed the culprit. 95€ later, all sorted.
