Fluence turn signal malfunction

I am experiencing a turn signal malfunction in my 2009 Renault Fluence (diesel engine, 85306 km). The error memory stores a fault, an error message appears on the speedometer, and there's an issue with the lighting. The likely cause, I suspect, is a defective cable or plug connection.

Sounds familiar! I had a similar gremlin with my old Opel Astra. Same symptoms: error message, lighting weirdness. Have you checked the bulb itself? Sometimes it's the simplest thing, like a filament finally giving up the ghost. Though, with the error code, it could be deeper. The Astra's issue turned out to be corroded contacts in the bulb holder. Did you experience anything like that?

Thank you for your quick response. Regarding the error: no, there was no sign of corrosion. However, did that problem cause related high repair costs?

Ok, no corrosion. When the contacts went bad on my Astra, the whole bulb holder needed replacing. It wasn't bank-breaking, but diagnostic time added to the bill. You may need to get a workshop to diagnose. But if you go there, ask for a quote first. I suspect it's a similar wiring problem as on my old Astra. It might be an easy fix, or it might be a bit more involved. Either way, a mechanic should sort it.

I appreciate your insight, it's been a great help. I brought it to a shop; as you said, the issue was in the wiring. The repair set me back 95€.
