Focus Electric AC Failure

Having serious AC issues with my 2017 Ford Focus Electric. The AC doesn't cool, the system won't switch on, and the warning light in the speedometer is on. I'm getting an error stored in the memory. Suspect a defective air conditioning control unit causing a refrigerant compressor failure. Has anyone experienced anything similar?

Yep, sounds familiar. I had similar AC unit issues with my Focus. Is the compressor not kicking in at all?

That's interesting. Yeah, the compressor doesn't seem to be engaging. The system is completely unresponsive. What was your experience? Was it also the compressor?

Couldn't say for sure what it was but symptoms were the same. AC dead, warning light on. I took it to the workshop to get it diagnosed. Maybe the same for you?

Thanks for the advice! I'll take it to a reputable workshop and see what they say. They've confirmed it's a defective air conditioning control unit leading to refrigerant compressor failure. Repair cost will be around 980€. Appreciate the help!
