Focus outside temperature sensor issues

Thanks for the quick response! The temperature reading is consistently way off, usually showing something like -40 degrees when it's clearly above freezing. Where exactly is the sensor located on the Focus? I want to give the wiring and connector a good look before throwing in the towel.

Ah, yeah, -40 is a classic sign of a dead sensor or broken wire. Honestly, I fiddled with mine for ages and ended up just taking it to a workshop. They sorted it out quickly, and it wasn't too expensive. I think you should take it to your local mechanic.

Alright, I appreciate the insight! Sounds like I'm fighting a losing battle on this one. I'll book it in with a workshop and get them to sort it out. Thanks for confirming it wasn't just me!

Sounds familiar! I've got a Focus too, and I had similar issues last winter. Check the wiring and the connector itself first, as that's the cheapest potential fix. Is the displayed temperature completely off, or just fluctuating wildly?
