Focus rough running stalls

I'm experiencing an issue with my 2018 Ford Focus gasoline engine. It has 154472 km on the clock. The check engine light is on, and the engine is running rough. It stalls at idle and jerks when accelerating. I suspect a defective fuel pressure sensor or potentially a cable/plug connection issue. Any ideas?

Hey, I had a similar problem with my Focus. Check engine light, rough idle, and even stalling sometimes. I'd start by checking the fuel injectors and their connections. It could also be a vacuum leak somewhere in the fuel system. Have you noticed any misfires?

Thanks for the quick reply. I haven't specifically checked for misfires, but the rough running feels like it could be misfiring. Where exactly should I be looking for these injector connections and this vacuum leak?

Okay, so misfires are likely part of the problem. Honestly, it's hard to pinpoint without proper tools. The injectors are on top of the engine, connected to the fuel rail. Vacuum leaks can be anywhere, but often around the intake manifold. To be on the safe side, I went straight to a workshop and they changed the fuel pressure sensor.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. I took it to a local shop, and you were right, it was the fuel pressure sensor and a faulty connection. They replaced the sensor and repaired the wiring. Total cost was 95€. Runs like new now.
