Focus Windshield Washer Heater Failure

Thanks! Fuse seemed okay, but I'll double-check. Where on the wiring harness does corrosion tend to occur? How hard is it to check the heating element directly? I'm fairly handy, but don't want to get in over my head.

On my Focus, corrosion was most evident near where the harness connects to the washer motor. Unless you have experience with electrical testing, I recommend taking it to a trusted workshop to diagnose the heating element. It's probably the safest and most efficient way. It's very likely the connection though, based on my own experience.

Appreciated. I'll check the wiring harness, especially around the motor. Given my frustration, I'll visit a workshop. Got a quote for 95€ including diagnostics and repair if it's just the connector. Thanks!

I had similar issues with my Focus. Check the fuse box first; a blown fuse for the heating element is common. Also, inspect the wiring harness leading to the washer motor for corrosion. Have you checked the heating element itself? It might be faulty.
