Ford Edge parking brake malfunction

I had a similar issue with my Edge. Same symptoms - electronic parking brake failure, error codes, the whole shebang. Have you had brake diagnostics done to check the electric motor in the brake calliper? That was the cause in my case, although it's worth investigating other potential brake fault scenarios first.

Brake calliper motor, eh? I was hoping it was just a fuse! Was it an easy fix, or did it cause any other issues? Any further detail about the error codes and what they meant?

I wish I could tell you it was a simple fix, but it wasn't. The error codes pointed directly to the electric motor in the calliper being defective. Considering the cost of diagnostics, parts and labor, the eventual repair ran to about 505€. If you are experiencing similar symptoms, I would suggest going to the workshop. A brake failure can have serious consequences.
