Yeah, I did have some chip tuning done a while back. How could that be the cause? Did your car computer throw the same error? What did you do to fix it?

Aftermarket chip tuning can sometimes cause unforeseen problems by altering the engine's factory settings. My Explorer exhibited similar fault codes after chip tuning. I advise you take your car to a trusted workshop, where the car computer can be checked.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on – the chip tuning was the culprit. Had to pay 180€ to get it sorted, but at least it's running smoothly now.

Sounds familiar. I own an Explorer as well and encountered comparable symptoms. Have you perhaps had any chip tuning done by third-party providers lately? That was the cause of my engine issue.
