Ford F Oxygen Sensor Fault

Similar thing happened with my Ford F: check engine light, increased fuel consumption. Have you checked the catalytic converter? Issues there can throw off sensor readings. Is the oxygen sensor giving you the error?

In my case, the error also pointed to the oxygen sensor, but the workshop discovered a faulty plug connection. I suggest visiting a workshop to verify the problem.
