Ford Focus transmission issues

Hey, I'm having some serious issues with my 2019 Ford Focus diesel. I've only done 49868 km! The transmission indicator light keeps popping on, along with the check engine light. The car goes into emergency mode, and the automatic transmission doesn't shift right at all. It's slipping and shifting all rough, and I'm even hearing grinding noises when it tries to change gears. I'm pretty sure there's an error stored somewhere, but I haven't had a chance to pull the codes yet. Could this be related to the radiator oil pressure? I'm so stressed!

Sounds like a potential issue with the pressure sensor or related wiring. The symptoms you're describing (transmission light, limp mode, rough shifting) are consistent with transmission issues triggered by a faulty sensor. Has the radiator coolant level been dropping, indicating a possible leak? Also, check the oil cooler lines for any signs of damage or leaks.

Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't noticed any coolant drops, but I'll definitely check the oil cooler lines. Where exactly is the pressure sensor located, and how can I check the wiring? Is it something I can do myself, or do I need special tools?

The pressure sensor is usually near the radiator or oil cooler. Visually inspect the connector and wiring for damage. Given the symptoms and potential complexity, it's advisable to get it checked by a workshop. They can properly diagnose with diagnostic tools and avoid further damage.

Thanks a bunch for the advice! I took it to the shop, and you were spot on – it was a defective cable connection. They fixed it for just 95€! Seriously appreciate the help!
