Ford GT Bypass Valve Error

I'm having a strange issue with my 2019 Ford GT, gasoline engine. I'm getting an error stored in the error memory related to the bypass valve, and the engine seems to be overheating. The car has about 149916 km on it. I've checked the air intake and exhaust system for any obvious blockages, and I've also inspected the vacuum system lines for leaks, but everything seems fine. Could this be a consequential error resulting from something else? Has anyone else experienced this?

I had a similar issue with my GT. What kind of fuel efficiency are you getting? That can sometimes be an indicator. It might be worth checking the bypass valve itself for proper function.

Thanks for the quick reply! My fuel efficiency has definitely decreased recently. How did you resolve the problem? Was it actually the bypass valve or something else triggering the error?

In my case, the error was a consequence of another sensor failure, specifically related to the catalytic converter. It's difficult to diagnose without proper equipment. Given the overheating, I'd advise getting it checked at a workshop.

Thanks, that's helpful. I took your advice and brought it to a shop. Turns out you were right; it was a sensor that was causing the issue, leading to the bypass valve error. All fixed now, and the repair cost was 0€ because it was still under warranty!
