Ford Ikon Belt Tensioner Issue

Hi, I've got a 2010 Ford Ikon, gasoline engine, with 143064 km. I suspect I'm having trouble with the belt tensioner, as the belt-handover no longer works. I think the defective belt bringer/handover is the cause. Has anyone else run into this?

I had a similar problem with my Ford Ikon. The serpentine belt was squealing, especially on cold starts. I initially thought it was the idler pulley. Is your noise constant, or does it change with engine speed?

The noise isn't constant. It's sporadic and seems to get worse after the engine's been running a while. When you say 'similar problem', did replacing a specific part fix it? Or was there something else?

The squealing was related to the belt tensioner. I tried tightening it, but it didn't really solve the problem, and I have no experience with timing belts. I took it to a workshop.
