Ford Ikon Fault Code and Vehicle Coding Issue

I've got a 2010 Ford Ikon, gasoline engine, with about 69,000 km on it. Recently, a fault code popped up. I'm getting an error stored in the memory, and error messages are showing on both the infotainment system and speedometer. I suspect it might be related to incorrect vehicle coding. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

I had a similar problem with my Ikon. The error messages appearing on multiple systems points to a potential issue with the car's control module. When the coding is incorrect, it can cause the different systems to miscommunicate, leading to these kinds of errors. Have you tried resetting the error codes using an OBD-II scanner?

Thanks for the quick response! I haven't tried resetting the codes yet. I wanted to get some input before I started messing around with it. Did resetting the codes solve the problem for you, or did it just temporarily clear the error messages?

Resetting the codes only temporarily cleared the errors. The underlying problem persisted, and the errors reappeared after a short drive. It turned out the car's configuration data was corrupted and needed to be reprogrammed. I'd suggest taking it to a workshop with the proper diagnostic tools. They can check the coding and re-flash the control module if necessary.

Thanks, that's exactly the information I was looking for! I'll take it to a shop. They identified that the coding of the vehicle was incorrect and fixed it. It cost me 360€, but it was worth it to have the problem resolved properly.
