Ford Ka Automatic Transmission Problems

2014 Ford Ka, gasoline engine, 61k on the clock. Automatic transmission is acting up: won't start, check engine light's on, gearbox slipping, and the error memory is full. I suspect a dodgy control unit. Anyone seen this before? Looking at potentially 1000€ to get it sorted.

Sounds familiar. I've got a Ka, too. Had similar issues. Engine wouldn't fire up sometimes, and the transmission was acting up. Was your check engine light flashing or solid?

Solid check engine light. The slipping is intermittent but getting worse. Was yours the parking position causing the no-start issue?

Yes, exactly that. Parking position sensor was kaput. Definitely get it checked out at a workshop. Could save you a headache.
