Ford Ranger Sun Blind Failure

Hi, I've got a 2021 Ford Ranger with a diesel engine and a rather annoying problem. The sun blind seems to have given up the ghost. It no longer retracts or extends properly, just gets stuck. I've also pulled the error memory and there's a fault stored related to the sunblind motor. Given the symptoms, I suspect the motor itself is defective. Has anyone else experienced this?

Whoa, sounds familiar! I have a Ranger too, and I swear I had a similar thing happen with my car sunshade a while back. The car blind just wouldn't budge. Was incredibly annoying. What kind of error code are you seeing?

Thanks for the quick response! The error code indicates a malfunction in the sunblind motor circuit. Was your error code similar? Also, did your window visor get completely stuck, or was it intermittent?

Yeah, I think that's the same error I had, or at least very close to it. Mine was completely stuck. I'd suggest taking it to a workshop, as they'll probably need to replace the whole sun blind assembly. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!
