Interesting! No, I didn't notice any hissing. Where exactly is this bellows valve located, and how can I check it for damage?

It's part of the air suspension strut, so it's near the wheels. Honestly, unless you're really comfortable working on suspension, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. Dealing with air suspension can be tricky and potentially dangerous if you don't know what you're doing. They can properly diagnose if it's the valve or something else causing the ride height issue.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to my local mechanic. Turns out you were spot on – faulty air suspension bellows valve! Repair cost me 590€. At least the mystery is solved.

Whoa, that sounds rough! I had a similar problem with my old Audi Q7. It turned out to be a defective bellows valve in the pneumatic suspension. Did you notice any hissing sounds or signs of an air leak around the suspension?
