Fortuner clutch switch issue

Thanks for the quick reply! I get what you're saying. Where exactly is the clutch switch located? I'm thinking maybe the plug came loose somehow. Is it easy enough to get to? Also, is there any way to test the switch itself to be sure that's the problem?

The clutch switch is typically located near the top of the clutch pedal arm, where it pivots. Access can be a bit tight depending on your vehicle configuration. As for testing, you can use a multimeter to check for continuity when the pedal is pressed. If there is no continuity when pressed, the switch is definitely suspect. Given the cluster of issues, and especially the error memory and no-start condition, I would advise you to take the car to a workshop. If it's the switch connection like I said, it is an easy fix for them.

Thanks so much for your help! I took it to a local shop, and they confirmed it was a loose connector on the clutch switch, just like you suspected. They re-seated it properly, cleared the error codes, and everything's working perfectly now. Total cost was 95€! You saved me a ton of guessing and potentially unnecessary repairs. I really appreciate the insight!

Sounds like a faulty clutch switch, which is a common safety feature. It prevents starting the car unless the clutch is depressed. The gear selection display and cruise control are also likely linked through the ECU reading the clutch position. Have you checked the cable and plug connection to the switch itself? A loose or damaged connection there could cause all those symptoms simultaneously.
