Freed brake pedal issue
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Honda Freed hybrid owner reported strange feedback from the brake pedal, suspecting undervoltage affecting the ABS and causing uneven wear. Another individual with a similar experience suggested checking the brake pads, rotors, and calipers for wear or sticking. The issue was resolved by cleaning the calipers and replacing the brake pads and rotors.

Thanks for the input. Did your issue manifest more at low speeds? And what did you end up doing to fix it?

Yes, it was definitely more noticeable at lower speeds, especially when coming to a complete stop. I initially thought it was just worn brake shoes, but the odd pedal feel pointed to something else. I took it to a workshop. They sorted it out.

Took it in, and you were right, it needed a look at the calipers. They cleaned them, changed the brake pads and rotors. Cost me 240€ Thanks for the advice!

I had something similar with my Freed. The brake pedal felt weird, almost like the metal brakes were grinding, though I couldn't hear any noise. Have you checked the brake pads and brake rotors for wear? It might be worth looking at the brake calipers too, making sure they aren't sticking.
