Freemont control module fault codes
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Fiat Freemont owner experienced fault codes related to a control module issue, with error messages appearing in both the infotainment system and speedometer. The problem was identified as incorrect vehicle coding, despite no recent work being done on the car. The suggested solution was to have the vehicle checked at a workshop with proper diagnostic equipment, where recoding resolved the issue.

No, I haven't had any recent work done. That's what's puzzling me. The diagnostics point to incorrect coding, but nothing has been changed. Do you remember what the eventual fix was in your case?

In my case, the fault was also in the error memory, I ignored the error message in the speedometer for a while. It turned out to be exactly as suspected - incorrect vehicle coding. My advice would be to get it checked at a workshop with proper diagnostic equipment.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a workshop, and it was indeed a coding issue. They recoded the vehicle, and the errors are gone. Cost me 360€. Appreciate the help!

I had something similar happen with my Freemont. If I remember correctly, the malfunction indicator lamp lit up, and the system was throwing codes related to the vehicle's coding. Did you recently have any work done on the car?
