Freemont seat heater malfunction
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Fiat Freemont owner is experiencing a malfunction with the seat heater, which is barely warming up and showing a fault in the car's error memory. The issue is suspected to be a defective seat heating mat, a known problem with these vehicles. A suggestion is made to check the connections under the seat, but the likely solution involves replacing the heating mat, a task best handled by a professional due to its complexity.

Thanks for the quick reply! Was your symptom the same – almost no heat at all? And did you replace the mat yourself, or did you take it to a shop?

Yep, barely any heat. I took mine to a workshop. Replacing the mat yourself is a pain. It’s embedded in the seat.

Okay, thanks for confirming. I figured it was probably best left to the pros. I'll book it in. They quoted me around 390€ for the repair, so at least I know what to expect.

I had a similar problem with my Freemont. Check the connections under the seat, but it's probably the heating mat. They're known to fail.
