Freemont Windshield Washer Heater Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Fiat Freemont is experiencing a malfunction with the windshield washer heater, indicated by an error code and freezing spray nozzles in cold weather. The issue may be due to a bad connection or a blown fuse. Initial troubleshooting should involve checking the fuse box, as a blown fuse could be the cause. If the fuse is not the issue, a corroded connector on the heating element might be the problem, which may require professional repair.

Yeah, it only seems to happen when it's below freezing. Which fuse should I be checking specifically? And if it's not the fuse, what else should I look at?

I can't recall the exact fuse number, but the manual should tell you. Honestly, I chased it for a while and then just gave up and took it to a shop. Turns out it was a corroded connector on the heating element itself. Saved me a ton of grief.

Thanks for the tip! I'll check the fuses and then probably just bite the bullet and take it in. The repair cost should be around 95€, so it's not worth spending hours troubleshooting. Appreciate the help!

Dude, that sounds familiar! I had a similar problem with my Freemont. Check the fuse box first, could be a blown fuse. After that, it gets trickier. Is it only happening in super cold weather?
