Freestar Damping Adjustment Error

Thanks for the quick reply! Yes, by 'damping adjustment' I mean exactly what you described – the suspension's ability to control movement after a bump. As for the error, it's pretty consistent. It reappears shortly after I clear it. And yes, I've visually inspected the connections I could easily access, but I haven't done any thorough testing. Where exactly did you find the issue in your case?

Okay, consistent error is definitely annoying! I suspected a bad connection, and I messed around with it for an afternoon. In the end, I took it to the shop and they told me the same thing: cable or plug connection of the component defective. I was charged 95€ and was on my way. I would recommend you take it to a workshop too. If you want to do it yourself, you will need some special equipment and knowledge.

Thanks for confirming that! It's helpful to know someone else experienced something similar and what the eventual fix was. I appreciate you sharing your experience and the cost involved; that gives me a good benchmark. I will go to the workshop.

Oh man, that sounds familiar! I have a Freestar too, and I had a similar issue with the damping. The bumpy ride is no fun, is it? When you say 'damping adjustment,' are you referring to the car's ability to control the suspension's movement after hitting a bump? It's basically how quickly the suspension settles back to its normal position. So, is the error consistent, or does it come and go? Did you check the connections already?
