Freestar Fault Memory Lock Active

I'm getting a 'fault memory lock active' error on my 2005 Ford Freestar with a gasoline engine (249524 km). I suspect undervoltage, but I'm not sure where to start. Anyone seen this before?

I've had a similar issue on my Freestar. First, check your battery connections and voltage. A weak battery or loose connection can cause computer system errors. Has the battery been replaced recently, or has the van been sitting?

Thanks, I checked the battery connections, and they're secure. The voltage seems normal when the engine is running. The battery is relatively new, and the van is used regularly. Could it be something else?

Yeah, it could be something else causing a voltage drop. I chased that for a while and eventually took it to a workshop. They said the ECU registered the undervoltage and locked the fault memory, and they cleared it. Not cheap. I'd recommend getting it properly diagnosed to be sure.

I appreciate the help. Sounds like a workshop is inevitable. They quoted me 240€, which seems okay. I will report back once it's fixed.
