Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't had a chance to check the wiring yet, but I will add that to my list. The diagnostic code that came up was P0606, which seems to point towards an ECM/PCM processor fault. Does this align with what you saw on your Insignia, and do you have any recommendations on what to check first?

The P0606 code does indeed suggest a potential issue with the ECM/PCM. Given the history of chip tuning, it is plausible that the aftermarket modification is the root cause. In my case, the modification caused a similar error. Unfortunately, diagnosing the issue without specialized equipment proved difficult. I would advise consulting a qualified workshop that possesses the requisite diagnostic tools to assess the ECU's functionality and determine whether a reflash or replacement is necessary. It may be outside the scope of a typical home repair.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a local workshop, and they confirmed that the fault code was indeed related to the chip tuning. They managed to fix it for 180€. I really appreciate your help and sharing your past experience; it gave me a much better idea of what to expect.

I recall encountering a comparable situation with my previous vehicle, a 2012 Opel Insignia, which also had a gasoline engine. The symptoms you described are consistent with what I experienced when the ECU detected an anomaly after a similar modification. Have you verified the integrity of the connections and wiring associated with the aftermarket chip? It would be helpful to know the specific diagnostic code your scan tool is reporting.
