Frontier Radar Sensor Error
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Nissan Frontier displayed a radar sensor error at 100824 km, affecting multiple systems. A dirty sensor was suspected as the cause. Cleaning the sensor resolved the issue, restoring normal system function. A diagnostic scan and potential recalibration were suggested but not needed after cleaning.

I have visually inspected the sensor; however, I lack the expertise to ascertain its cleanliness definitively. Should a specialized radar calibration be necessary even following a simple cleaning?

A calibration might not always be necessary after cleaning, but it's prudent to check. Given the complexity and integration of these systems, I would suggest having a workshop perform a diagnostic scan. They can determine if recalibration is required after cleaning.

Thank you for the advice. I took it to a local shop, and you were spot on. The sensor was indeed dirty. Cleaning it resolved the issue; the total cost was 45€. All systems are functioning normally again.

It's plausible that a dirty radar sensor could be the culprit. Modern automotive sensors are sensitive, and if the radar's view is obstructed, it can indeed trigger cascading failures in systems that rely on its input. Is the sensor easily accessible for inspection?
