Thanks. I haven't checked the voltage yet, just gathering info. I don't have the error code right now. Think I can fix this myself, or should I go to a workshop?

I had trouble finding the fault myself without special tools. Given potential fuel system issues, I'd suggest a qualified technician. They can diagnose it accurately and ensure proper repair.

Thanks for the advice. Took it to a workshop, and the cable connection to the fuel filter heater was defective, as suspected. Repair cost 95€. Car's running great now.

Sounds familiar. My 2012 Opel Astra diesel had similar power loss and poor response, especially on cold starts. Have you checked the voltage at the fuel filter heater connector? What's the exact error code?
