Fuel Filter Heater Problem Mercedes G Klasse Diesel

Fuel Filter Heater Issues Mercedes G Klasse 2005 Diesel

I had a similar issue on my G Klasse. I am not sure if it is the same on the 2005 diesel, but is your fuel consumption unusually high, and are you experiencing rough idling? The fuel filter might be the culprit. Consider a filter replacement, but first check the connections.

Consumption IS higher than normal, and the idle is rough, especially at cold start. Where exactly should I be checking the connections? Is there a specific plug or wiring harness that's known to fail?

The fuel filter heater's cable and plug connection are known weak spots. Considering the symptoms, a visit to the workshop might be beneficial. They should be able to diagnose the electrical issue precisely.

It was indeed the cable connection to the fuel filter heater, like you suggested. 95€ later and it runs like new. I appreciate the insight.
