Fuel Level Sensor Error
Summary of the thread
The 2019 Honda Jade experienced a check engine light and stalling at idle, with diagnostics indicating a fuel level sensor error. Initially, there was speculation about a faulty fuse causing the issue. Despite consistent fuel gauge readings, the problem was ultimately traced to a defective fuse, which was replaced to resolve the intermittent signal to the fuel level sensor.

The fuel level gauge seems normal, with consistent readings. Given the error code, do you still think a faulty sensor is likely? What's the next step?

Given the consistent gauge readings, a faulty sensor is less likely, though not impossible. The stalling and sensor error suggest intermittent signal loss or a broader electrical issue. I'd recommend a workshop check the sensor, fuel pump, and wiring.

Thanks for the advice. It was a defective fuse, as suspected, causing an intermittent signal to the fuel level sensor. Fuse replacement cost 52€.

Interesting. A defective fuse could cause issues with the fuel level sensor circuit. But consider the sensor itself. Was the fuel level reading erratic before the check engine light? Does the gauge move smoothly or jump around?
