Fuga Knock Sensor Issue

I'm having trouble with my 2002 Nissan Fuga with a gasoline engine. The check engine light is on and the engine is running poorly – high fuel consumption and uneven idling. I think it's a bad knock sensor. I've checked the cable and plug. Has anyone else had this happen?

Hey man, I think I know what's up! I had something really similar happen on my Fuga. Check engine light was on, gas mileage went to crap, and the engine was idling rough like it wanted to stall. I never figured it out myself, but I think it was something with the timing? I'm not a mechanic, but that's the vibe I got from the whole thing. Did you mess with the ignition timing or something?

To clarify, did the check engine light, high fuel consumption, and unstable idling definitely come from a bad knock sensor? Was the ignition timing involved?

Okay, so listen. I wasn't super clear before, my bad. I didn't actually fix the problem myself. I brought it to a shop, and they sorted it out. I'm not sure if it was exactly the knock sensor, but the symptoms were spot on. They told me something about the sensor messing with the engine timing. Honestly, save yourself a headache and take it to a professional. It could be a bunch of things, and you don't want to mess it up more.

Thanks. I'm going to get it checked out at a shop. The estimated repair cost is about 95€.
