Fuga rough running and stalling

Ignition coils, huh? I haven't touched those, to be honest. Where exactly are they located, and is it something I could potentially check myself, even though I'm not super experienced? And what should I be looking for, exactly? Like, would I see obvious damage or something?

The ignition coils sit directly on top of the spark plugs, under the engine cover. While you could visually inspect them, discerning a fault without diagnostic tools can be challenging. Look for any obvious cracks, melting, or damaged connectors. The likely cause is a defective cable or plug connection to the component. Given the symptoms and mileage, it is prudent to have a qualified mechanic diagnose the issue with appropriate diagnostic equipment. I would recommend taking your vehicle to a reputable workshop for thorough diagnosis and repair.

Thanks so much for the advice! I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on – it was indeed a defective ignition coil! The repair cost me about 95€, and now it runs like a dream again. Really appreciate the help!

Rough running, stalling, and a check engine light definitely point to some kind of engine issue. I had a similar problem with my Fuga. Have you checked the ignition coils? Those symptoms sound a lot like coil failure. Especially the jerking during acceleration suggests it could be a misfire. Has any maintenance been performed on the ignition system recently? Have you tried visually inspecting the coil packs?
