Fullback electronic parking brake issue

Hi, I'm having trouble with my 2017 Fiat Fullback diesel, which has done 149845 km. The electronic parking brake isn't working at all. There's a fault code stored and a warning light on the speedometer. I think it might be the electric motor in the brake caliper. Has anyone else had this?

I had something similar on my Fullback. It sounds like a system glitch, probably a faulty brake sensor. Have you done any brake diagnostics? The electronic brake system on these can be quite sensitive.

Thanks. I ran a basic OBD scan, which showed a generic 'brake system malfunction' error. I haven't done anything more specific. Did your diagnostics point straight to the sensor, or was there more troubleshooting?

Mine was pretty much the same, a generic brake failure code. I thought it was the sensor, but the workshop said it was the electric motor in the calliper. Get it checked to be safe.

Thanks a lot. I took it to a local mechanic who said the electric motor in the brake caliper was defective. The repair cost 505€. I appreciate the help!
