Fusion AC Faulty Temp Sensor

Alright, I'm pulling my hair out here. My 2015 Ford Fusion Hybrid is throwing a fit. 168415 km on the clock. The automatic temperature control is totally kaput. The AC refuses to kick on, and the error memory is screaming about a faulty interior temperature sensor. I'm betting it's a dodgy cable or plug connection. Anyone seen this before?

I encountered a similar problem with my Fusion. The automatic climate control became unresponsive, and the air conditioning wouldn't engage. Have you checked the sensor readings with an OBD-II scanner to confirm the sensor's output?

Yeah, I did check the sensor readings. They're all over the place, completely erratic. So, you had the same issue? What was the culprit in your case? Did you manage to fix it yourself, or did you end up taking it to a shop?

Given the unstable sensor readings you observed, the problem does indeed appear to be located within the sensor itself or its associated wiring. In my case, the issue was definitively diagnosed by a qualified technician. While I generally prefer to undertake repairs independently, the complexity of the climate control system and the potential for unintended consequences led me to seek professional assistance. I would recommend consulting a workshop.

Thanks for the advice! Took it to the shop as you suggested. Turns out it was a corroded connector on the temp sensor, just like we suspected. 95€ later, and the AC is blasting cold air again. Appreciate the help!
