Fusion Hybrid engine mount vibration

My 2009 Ford Fusion Hybrid with 98088 km is exhibiting uneven idling, accompanied by an error stored in the error memory. Initial diagnostics point towards a defective engine mount, possibly due to a faulty cable or plug connection. Has anyone encountered similar vibration issues or mount failure?

Engine mount, huh? I had something like that happen on my Fusion, felt like the whole car was gonna shake apart at stoplights. Is it throwing any specific codes, or just the uneven idle? A bad mount can make the engine feel like it's doing the tango. Did you check the rubber mount itself for cracks or tears?

Thanks for the quick reply! No specific codes beyond the generic 'engine mount defective' message. I haven't physically inspected the mount yet, but that's next on my list. Your tango analogy is spot on! Did replacing the mount solve your issue completely, or were there other contributing factors?

Replacing the mount did the trick for me. It was like night and day. The shaking stopped completely. Based on your description and the error message, I'd bet that's your problem too. With hybrids, it's sometimes hard to tell what's going on, but a failing mount is pretty obvious. Given the error and symptoms, I'd recommend a workshop visit.

Great, that's very helpful to know. I appreciate the insight. I'll schedule an appointment at the workshop. The estimated repair cost is around 95€, so hopefully, that will resolve it. Thanks again!
