G Klasse Combustion Misfires

My 2013 Mercedes G Klasse with a gasoline engine is exhibiting combustion misfires. The vehicle has 47443 km. Symptoms include rough engine running, check engine light illumination, jerking during acceleration, and reduced engine power. Could a defective injection valve injector be the cause?

That sounds frustrating. I experienced similar issues with my G Klasse. The symptoms you describe point towards a Cylinder misfire. Have you checked the Ignition coil, Fuel injector, and Spark plug? A malfunctioning Fuel injector could certainly be the culprit. It's like trying to bake a cake with a broken oven the ingredients are there, but the result is off.

Thank you for the insight. Can you elaborate on your experience? Did replacing the Fuel injector resolve the issue entirely, or were there other factors involved?

In my case, the Fuel injector replacement was indeed the primary solution. It's essential to identify the specific cylinder experiencing the Combustion misfire. Using an OBD2 scanner can pinpoint the affected cylinder. While a faulty Ignition coil or worn Spark plug can mimic similar symptoms, a defective Fuel injector often leads to more pronounced performance issues. I would advise visiting a workshop to have a professional confirm. They can run diagnostics that go beyond what you might be able to do yourself.

I appreciate the guidance. The diagnostic test confirmed a defective Fuel injector. The repair, including parts and labor, cost 515€. The issue is resolved.
