Thanks for the response I haven't checked the voltage myself Where is the fuse located for the rear window heating on this model Which fuse box should I check, and what amperage should the fuse be

Fuse locations can vary slightly depending on the specific configuration Consulting your owner's manual or a repair manual specific to the 2017 G Klasse is highly recommended The manual will also specify the correct amperage Given the symptoms and the potential for battery issues, it might be prudent to have a qualified mechanic diagnose the electrical system to pinpoint the root cause Visiting a workshop to get it checked is advisable

Appreciate the insight I took it to a workshop as you suggested The battery was the primary suspect I replaced it, and now both the rear window heating and windshield heating are working fine The error code is gone Total cost: 290€

I understand your frustration with the rear window demister in your G Klasse A heavily discharged or defective battery can indeed cause electrical gremlins The rear defroster and windshield heating draw significant power Have you checked the battery's voltage recently A weak battery can trigger error codes and prevent these systems from functioning optimally Also, inspect the fuse for the rear window heating A blown fuse is a simple fix, but often overlooked
