G Klasse throttle valve issue

Yeah, I checked the connections, cleaned them up with some contact cleaner, but no change Still getting the same code and the reduced power Did you end up replacing the whole throttle body or just the sensor And what was the replacement cost roughly, if you don't mind me asking

In my case, the entire throttle body required replacement While it might be tempting to replace only the sensor, the fault often lies within the integrated electronics of the throttle body itself Given that you have already inspected the connections, I would recommend consulting a qualified technician for a diagnostic assessment A faulty throttle body can indeed cause reduced engine power, illumination of the check engine light, and erratic engine idling It is imperative to address this issue promptly to prevent potential damage to other engine components I would advise against further driving until the problem is resolved Considering the potential complexities involved, seeking professional assistance would be the most prudent course of action

I understand your concern regarding the performance of your G Klasse I own the same model, and I experienced similar symptoms not long ago The check engine light illuminated, and the vehicle exhibited a noticeable reduction in engine power The issue was indeed related to the throttle valve Before proceeding with any replacements, may I inquire as to whether you have inspected the electrical connections to the throttle position sensor A loose or corroded connection can sometimes trigger the same fault code
