G Klasse TPMS Issue

Thanks for the reply! I haven't tried resetting the TPMS through the computer yet. Honestly, I didn't even know that was an option! As for the specific error code, I'd have to check again. I don't remember it off the top of my head. Where exactly in the car's computer settings would I find the TPMS reset function? Is it pretty straightforward, or am I going to need a manual to figure this out?

You are welcome. While I am uncertain about the precise location of the TPMS reset function within your specific vehicle's computer, it is typically located within the 'Vehicle Settings' or 'Tire Pressure Monitoring' menu. Given the potential complexities involved, and considering the stored error code, it might be prudent to consult with a qualified technician. They will be able to accurately diagnose the underlying issue and recommend the appropriate course of action. I am unsure if a simple reset will suffice. A depleted sensor battery is a plausible explanation, as you initially suspected.

Just wanted to say thanks for the advice. Turns out you were right, a simple reset didn't do the trick. Took it to the workshop, and as I suspected, the tire pressure sensor battery was dead. They replaced the sensor, and the error message is gone! Cost me around 280€, exactly as I predicted. All good now!

I am writing to inquire about the symptoms you have described concerning your Mercedes G Klasse. I, too, have experienced a similar issue with my Mercedes, though not the same year. The symptoms you have described, including the tire pressure warning and the error message, are indicative of a potential TPMS issue. Could you perhaps provide more information regarding the specific error code that is being displayed? Additionally, have you attempted to reset the TPMS system through the vehicle's computer? I am uncertain if this will resolve the issue, but it may be a worthwhile step to consider.
