Galaxy engine jerking whistling noise

I'm having some trouble with my 2017 Ford Galaxy diesel. The check engine light is on, and it's jerking like crazy when I accelerate. There's also this weird whistling, hissing sound, especially when I put my foot down. Sometimes the engine even stalls when I'm idling! I've noticed my fuel consumption is way up and the engine feels gutless, like it's lost power. I think it might be the boost pressure sensor, but I'm no mechanic. Any ideas?

Sounds rough. I had similar symptoms on my Galaxy, though mine's a bit older. That whistling noise and the lack of power sound familiar. Have you checked the cable and plug connection to the boost sensor itself? Could just be a loose or damaged connection.

Thanks for the tip! Where exactly is the boost sensor located? I'm not too familiar with the engine layout and I don't want to start fiddling with the wrong bits!

On mine, it's near the intake manifold, but it's best to just get it checked by a workshop. If the cable or plug is defective as suspected, the repair shouldn't be too expensive.

Thanks a lot for your help! I took it to a local garage and you were spot on – it was indeed the cable connection to the boost pressure sensor. They replaced the connector and it cost me 95€. Runs like a dream now!
