Galloper Cruise Control Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2000 Hyundai Galloper with a diesel engine experienced a cruise control failure, with an error stored in the memory. Initial checks of fuses showed no issues. A suggestion was made to inspect cable and plug connections, particularly around the pedal switch, as loose connections can cause intermittent failures. The problem was confirmed to be a defective component cable at the pedal switch connection, which was resolved at a workshop.

Dashboard and brake lights seem normal. Which connections exactly should I be checking? I'm not really sure where to start looking beyond the fuse box. Any hints?

On mine, it was the pedal switch connection. That's often the culprit. But honestly, if you're not comfortable digging deep, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop. It could be a defective component cable or plug connection. It's better to be safe than sorry and mess something else up, you know?

Thanks for the advice! I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on. Turns out it was a defective component cable at the pedal switch connection, causing the cruise control to fail. Repair cost me 95€ Appreciate the help!

I had a similar issue on my Galloper. Cruise control packed it in, and it turned out to be a dodgy connection. Have you checked the cable and plug connections to the cruise control components? It's like a loose wire in your headphones – sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Also, do your dashboard light or brake light act weirdly?
