Galloper Stalling at Idle
Summary of the thread
A 2000 Hyundai Galloper is experiencing reduced power, a check engine light, rough running, jerking during acceleration, and stalling at idle. The initial suspicion is a defective injector. Another owner suggests checking the air-fuel ratio, oxygen sensor, and mass airflow sensor as potential causes. Ultimately, the issue is confirmed to be a defective injector, which is resolved at a workshop.

Did your symptoms mirror mine? Did your engine also stall at idle? What was the root cause in your case?

Yes, stalling at idle was definitely one of the symptoms. It's tough to diagnose these things online. I took it to a workshop. They sorted it out but I don't recall the exact component they replaced.

Understood. A trip to the workshop is inevitable. Knowing you faced similar issues gives me a clearer direction. I will post the resolution and final repair bill. The repair cost me 515€. It turned out an injector was defective, as suspected.

I have a Galloper myself and had similar problems. Before you tear everything apart, have you checked the air-fuel ratio and the oxygen sensor? Could be a faulty mass airflow sensor.
