Genesis radar sensor failure

Alright, Genesis gurus, I'm at my wit's end! My 2016 Hyundai Genesis with the gas engine is throwing me for a loop. The radar sensor seems completely dead at 164431 km. I'm getting an error message plastered across my speedometer, and the error memory is chock-full of related codes. This cascades into other systems failing. The speedo has a warning light that won't quit. Could just be a dirty sensor, right? Has anyone else wrestled with this demon?

Good question! It started intermittently, usually in heavy rain. But now it's constant. The adaptive cruise is totally kaput, and collision avoidance is offline. Any correlation with your side?

That sounds very similar to what I encountered. Given the persistent nature and the involvement of multiple systems, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop for a proper diagnostic. It could very well be the sensor, but it's best to confirm before replacing anything.

Thanks! As you suggested, I brought it to the workshop. Turns out, you were spot on: it was grime buildup. Cleaning the sensor did the trick, all in for 45€. I wouldn't have thought of that. Appreciate the advice!
