Genesis radar sensor failure
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Hyundai Genesis owner experienced a radar sensor failure, leading to error messages and system malfunctions. The issue, initially intermittent and worsening over time, was suspected to be due to a dirty sensor. After consulting with others and visiting a workshop, the problem was resolved by cleaning the sensor, confirming that grime buildup was the cause.

Good question! It started intermittently, usually in heavy rain. But now it's constant. The adaptive cruise is totally kaput, and collision avoidance is offline. Any correlation with your side?

That sounds very similar to what I encountered. Given the persistent nature and the involvement of multiple systems, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop for a proper diagnostic. It could very well be the sensor, but it's best to confirm before replacing anything.

Thanks! As you suggested, I brought it to the workshop. Turns out, you were spot on: it was grime buildup. Cleaning the sensor did the trick, all in for 45€. I wouldn't have thought of that. Appreciate the advice!

I own a Genesis too and I experienced a similar issue with my safety systems. It's definitely worth investigating. Does the error occur consistently, or is it intermittent?
