Getz electrical gremlin Terminal thirty error
Summary of the thread
A 2006 Hyundai Getz diesel was experiencing a 'Terminal 30 continuous plus interrupted' error, leading to poor starting performance. The issue was suspected to be related to a battery problem, as the battery appeared heavily discharged or possibly defective. After checking the battery and replacing it, the problem was resolved, and the car started perfectly.

Okay, appreciate the tip. Where exactly on the fusebox should I be probing with the multimeter, and what sort of voltage drop would be considered excessive?

It was a while ago, but I think it was the main power feed into the fuse box. Anything more than 0.5V drop indicates a problem. Honestly, given the age of our cars, it might be time to get a workshop to check the circuit breakers too.

Thanks for the pointer; it was indeed the battery. After a visit to an auto electrician, who confirmed that the old battery had given up, I've resolved the problem with a new battery at a grand total of 290€. The car's starting perfectly now!

I had something similar with my Getz. Did you check for a voltage drop across the fuse box? That's where my problem was.
