Getz Engine Stalling At Idle

My 2004 Hyundai Getz, gasoline engine, has a check engine light on at 94009 km. Error memory says it's the idle air control valve. The engine stalls at idle, especially when cold. I think the intake is really dirty, causing the valve to mess up. Anyone seen this before?

Sounds familiar. My Getz had similar symptoms. The engine stalling at idle was a nightmare, especially at stoplights. I'd check the air intake first for anything blocking it or too much dirt. Inspect the idle air control valve itself for damage or blockage. Cleaning it might fix it.

For me, it got worse over a few weeks. It started with rough idling sometimes, then stalling a lot. I didn't clean it myself because I'm not good with car repairs. I took it to a shop, which I think is best for you.
