Gienia incorrect fuel composition
Summary of the thread
A 2018 gasoline Gienia is experiencing issues with incorrect fuel composition, indicated by a check engine light and engine stalling at idle. The problem may be due to a defective cable or plug connection to the fuel system, causing the engine to misread the fuel mixture. It is recommended to have the vehicle inspected by a workshop for a proper diagnosis and repair.

I haven't tried fuel additives or checked the fuel filter yet. What did you do when you faced a similar issue? Did you replace the fuel filter or use a particular fuel additive, and did it resolve the problem?

In my case, it wasn't the fuel filter or the fuel itself. Turned out to be a defective cable or plug connection to the fuel system component, causing the engine to misread the fuel mixture. Best to get it checked at a workshop. They should be able to diagnose it quickly. I paid around 95€ for the repair if I remember correctly.

Thanks for the helpful information. Based on your experience, it seems best to take the car to a workshop for a proper diagnosis. I will schedule an appointment with a trusted mechanic to have the fuel system and related connections inspected. I appreciate you sharing your experience. I'll post the resolution!

That sounds familiar. I had almost the exact same symptoms with my Gienia a while back. Check engine light, stalling at idle, the whole shebang. Did you try fuel additives or check the fuel filter?
