Thanks for the reply. I did check the fuses, and they seem fine. I haven't noticed any flickering of the dashboard lights specifically. I will double-check the connectors for corrosion as you suggested. Any advice on the best way to access and inspect the automotive switch and its connections without causing further damage?

Thank you for the additional information. Given that the fuses are intact and the dashboard lights are not exhibiting flickering, the issue does indeed seem localized to the headlight switch or its immediate connections. While you can attempt to inspect the connectors, I must strongly suggest that you consult a qualified automotive technician. Interference with electrical components can potentially exacerbate the problem or even cause damage to other systems. Given the relatively modest estimated repair cost you mentioned, it may be more prudent to entrust the repair to a professional.

Thanks for the advice. I took your suggestion and had a workshop look at it. Turns out it was indeed a corroded connector on the headlight switch harness. They cleaned it up, and everything is working perfectly now. The final bill was very close to my initial estimate. Appreciate the help!

I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing difficulties with your Mercedes GLA's car lighting system. The symptoms you describe, particularly the erratic headlight behavior and the stored error code, do suggest a problem with the headlight switch assembly or its associated wiring. Have you observed any flickering of the dashboard lights in conjunction with the headlight issues? Have you attempted any preliminary diagnostics, such as inspecting the relevant fuses or connectors for corrosion or damage?
