Blower motor... interesting. Is that easy to access on the GLA? Where exactly is it located, and is there a simple way to test it?

Okay, so I am not a mechanic, but on my old car it was under the dash on the passenger side. You could hear it making a weird noise before it totally died, but if yours is totally dead, maybe not. Honestly, with it affecting both the heating and the air conditioning system, and you think its the wiring, you might want to get a proper diagnosis from a workshop. It sounds like it could get complicated, and you could chase your tail for days.

Took it to a workshop. Turns out it was a corroded connector in the wiring harness, as suspected. 95€ to fix. Thanks for the suggestion anyway.

Ugh that sounds like a headache! I had a similar thing happen in my old car and it drove me nuts. Have you checked the blower motor? Sometimes a bad blower motor resistor can cause weird electronic faults with the climate control. Might be worth a look before digging into the wiring harness.
